Since MPG is ~~= to rpms a decent rule is to apply the gear ratio, if 20% higher ratio expect some like 15-20% lower MPG in steady cruise [highway] MPG.
The are some variable since volumetric efficiency changes with rpm and load.
Acceleration is ~~= to the cube root of ratio increase 20%= ~3.1% less any extra time spent shifting into an extra gear.
The 07Z has the same final drive as 03-06, they didn't change it as in the G coupe. I have the 3.9 in mine, and I would have took this as an option from the factory if it existed. I haven't had a chance to put too many miles on the new gears yet, but the car is much more lively. RPM's are up about 300 in each gear at steady speed compared with the 3.5. Haven't had enough time to see the hit on mpg.
