OEM gear oil should be fine for the new gears with the VLSD.

If you're hard core into modding... and you're sure you won't want to go FI in the future, it might be worthwhile to switch FD gears to a 3.70. That would be my call.

I'd probably put headers on first, get it tuned, then maybe a 3.70.

Is it safe to assume that the 4.083 gear could be swapped into an '08 G35 6MT the same as the '07+ 350z?
With the extra weight of the G35, I'd love to have some shorter gears to get me moving faster.

The 4.08 gears are a nice addition to a G35 though!

Has anyone ever had an issue w/ the 4.083 gears messing up their cruise control?
I heard a rumor that some people have had this issue and just wanted to see if it was true or not.

I would assume the cruise no longer works on the auto G's. This is at least how it was when installing the 3.9's on auto G's and I'd imagine its the same result when doing the 4.08
As for the rpm's, you can find that data on page 1 of this thread

im talking more into the aspect of everyday driving. I looked at WOT shifts and rpms etc. just curious like what the rpms are at cruising on the highway at say 70 or 75. and or gas mileage.

The RPMs went up about 400 revs. 3400 RPM is 80 miles per hour. Cruising on the highway at 70-80 miles per hour is not an issue. I recently drove over to Orlando and back... not a problem.
