Default Forged Performance: 2008 G37 Coupe Baseline Dyno

We've been so busy, and havent had a chance to share our latest baseline results with the new G37 Coupe we aquired two weeks ago. The plan for this car is forced induction, naturally, but we wanted to get a baseline before starting to tear apart the car.

First off, I think the car looks much better in person, and although the rear is questionable to some, it really is starting to grow on me.

So far, we've added a set of Volk GT-F's, and a set of lower springs. More to come later. Compared to what we are used to tuning, the car is slow, but handles much better than a stock G35 or stock 350z.

Here are the dynos, and I will be posting some pics of the car shortly. For reference, a bone stock G35 Coupe just did 213whp on our dyno today. The heartbreaker strikes again! Add about 10-12% to simulate a dyno jet number.

what kind of springs are those? how low of a drop?..the front gap on my car is too large...

they seem to run rich..i wonder if any power can be had to lean it out to 13s.

how many miles on the car? i would think at least 40whp more compared to a G35.

GL on the F/I!!

They did make very close numbers. The HR did 245whp after about 10 passes. I did 3 passes with the G37 and each pass was virtually identical, so I just stopped. The engine was driven on the street for 400 miles, and then put on the dyno right away. If you compare these numbers, to GTM's baseline on the DJ, they are nearly identical, once you add the typical DJ correction.

Lowering springs are not technically available, but the Tein S-Tech's for the G35 coupe do fit...probably not ideal in terms of lowering level, and spring rate, but the car drives well, and looks 1000 times better when its low. Total drop was a heafty 2 inches! I figure the g37 specific springs, once they come out, will drop the car about 1-1.5 inches max.

Beautiful car Sharif. Can you hint at your plans for FI? Push the stock motor first?

Those with future G37's will thank me later, because I took a guess at the offsets. For the record, they are COMPLETELY different from the old G35/350Z. If you put the 22 all around, your car will look like a rock-crawler.

Rear offset is perfect, at 36, and the front was 37...probably should have done a 27'ish, to push it out a little further in the front, and give off more lip.

I was just thrilled they cleared the BBK.

19 X9.5 and 19X 8.5 36/37 offsets high pad type.

I took a enough risk with the offsets, and after seeing how my 10.5 inch LE's fit on my G37, I didnt want to take a risk with the 10.5/9.5 combo. I will leave that up to the next brave soul..haha!

Are you guys going to one-off a turbo kit for the g37s? It is truly beautiful. You guys always do something awesome, can't wait to see what happens this time.

Did you dyno it before or after the Forged sticker was put on? That makes a big difference.
