Default Clutch Slipping

Took my Z in to Nissan yesterday because of loss of power during shifts, I had a feeling it would be the cluth as it happened on my Daytonaz Blue Z before. Since my Silverstone has 56K miles on it and the cluth is wearable part of course it's not covered by warranty

They quoted $2600 OTD for the cluth, flywheel and labor. I'm not very technical when it comes to cars so I'm looking for recommendations on possibly less expensive aftermarket parts, or aftermarket parts that offer much better performance for the price they are trying to sell me OEM parts at.

I plan to pay them just the labor if I go this route, unless someone also knows of a good shop in Atlanta that could do the work

Call for both. You can easily attain a aftermarket clutch, flywheel, and labor for half that price. And will be more than enough to handle what you want in a clutch. Click on my link below. As the OP stated, give him a call?

I like your aviator.

Thanks all, I will call tomorrow and get a quote. Did not realize there was a place like that anywhere in Atlanta, engine tuning looks interesting too. If all sounds good I will bring my ughly duckling in, bad week for her, g/fs sister backed into the right front of it.

dude, no way. I just got that all done, bringing in my own parts, for $1100. $450 for labor and tax. About $250 for clutch kit, 398 for JWT flywheel. Shop around at some places and just tell them right off the bat, I want to get a quote for labor to get my carried in clutch replaced. No stealerships. Check out local garages that back their work.

Thanks just talked to Sharif, cool guy. Got the JWT flywheel, JWT clutch, JWT popcharger and overnight shipping plus installation for almost half of what the dealership wanted for just the flywheel. Will drop the car off in the morning.

Thanks again for the information everyone
Also anyone know any decent bodyshops? Looks like I will need a new bumper
