The more I read about the ATI SC, the more I want it. What benifit would your ECU chip do in conjunction with the ATI SC? Would you recommend it? Will you be modifying the chip specifically to optimize the ATI SC set up? Maybe the stock ECU is good enough with the ATI SC or if not explain. Please help out, I am new to this game of modding....
Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff--
if you are planning on adding the ATI procharger for your Z, you would to have your ECU custom tuned (or wait for a generic boost program)
adding forced induction on an ECU program generally made for NA is kind of a bad thing.. see for NA purposes. timing is advanced, fuel mixture leaned out.... for boost, Turbo or SC... the advanced timing might be the way to go, perhaps even some timing retardation is needed to prevent detonation with the exponentially added air flow....
Technos is undergoing a boosted application for ECUs, and will have one shortly.. as far as the ATI procharger is concerned, if someone is in Socal and has it installed and wishes to have a custom program for that.. they'll have to bring it in for us to take a look at...
as for MarkoBarkos comment, please re look at the dyno chart and note the different side scales, no need to flame, just open eyes..

for those worried about warranty stuff, I'd suggest getting a second ECU with the modded program. swap ecu's when you go to the dealer.
(we audi guys do this all the time)

Hey Chest I like you and all but the entire car doesn't revolve around TECHNO Sqaure (please don't be offended)
The stock ECU is fine if you use the included computerized Fuel Management system and the two tap sensors with guages.
You get the readings from the guages then make adjustments on the Computer Managed Fuel Management System.
I support your work but not mis information, I spent hours of studying the SC before buying it.
FMIC, FMS, SC, 2 taps, one into fuel and one into exhaust and you are there.
The newer SC's are setup by the same technology you love, to keep the car from running too rich but even if you are it's adjustable w/o Techno Square. You're the CEO there now right?
IOW the FMS won't let you run too rich just like my N20 kit controls fuel by bottle pressure.
I have a love/hate thing going on with technology.
Peas!

We have been working with Techno Square with our 350Z Grand AM Cup car. We hvae been doing back to back tsting with our other tuned ECU against the Techno Square ECU.
I have had the pleasure of meeting the guys at Techno Square while we were out in California...and let me tell you...
They are some great guys who are truly interested in performance and no BS.
I have delt with a la lot of people in motorsports and in aftermarket products...these guys are some on the neatest guys I have meet
Our first ECU was tuned in Japan and over the stock ECU there was a differnce in lap times at the tracks.
There is a bigger differnece between the first ECU and the TS one......
The Techno Square ECU wins hands down......We tested at Mid Ohio back in March and we where 3.5 seconds faster there last weekend.
