Default Tomei 264 Camshafts issues

Hi guys

I had problems with the installing of the cams, finally i fixed it and everything is normal now; Then i took it to the dyno for a tune and there was a drop in the HP till 6500rpm, in other words the cams give max HP at 6500rpm. Is this normal for cams to function at 6+ rpm? Can it be fixed?

My mods are: Custom Headers,Exhaust/ CAI/ Tomei Camshafts/ Unichip

Mods please move my thread to Engine,Drivetrain sorry for wrong section post.

I am running the Tomei 272's and for me to pick the power up down low I had to change the VTC angle. Before I did that the power was very low down low but picked up around 15 to 20 hp by advancing the cams. You might have to do the same thing with the 264's.

The Osiris has the ability to change the VTC angle to 6600 rpm.

yes, I read that in one of the Osiris posts. I thought you had a mechanical way of doing it.

They should be shimmed to .3 mm on intake and .33 mm on the exhaust if that helps any.
