Default 3rd gear snapped off, has this happened to you?

Hi,

I have a standard motor with an aps twin turbo... been driving around for a few thousand kilometers/miles and felt like I hit a brick... the left back tire seemed to be trying to jump through the boot trying to hump the spare ... this is how it felt anyway...

so after that there was no 3rd gear... this happened during hard acceleration passing some cops/pigs/5 O whateva whilst spinning and pulling them the finger....

had to find another gear box and replaced the entire thing... second hand with only 18 000 on the clock... anyways... having the original fixed...

how many people have had their gears snap???

mine went as i was driving down my street. car starting shaking pretty bad, then acted like it was in neutral. i had to do a double take, like wtf?? anyways...nissan gives a 6 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty on it. but assuming your on a different clutch, they might give you hasles.

they gave me hassles for my shift **** (sits low) claiming i cut my shifter.

however you would have to prove that the mods are what caused the damage, if its just a fualty tranny, they should replace it. get an 06+tranny. than whens they got revised.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm going to assume that if he drives into the dealer with a TT kit slapped on his car that they will opt to not replace the transmission or anything else on the car.
