Default What is a "ground kit"?

I read the "what was your first mod" thread and saw alot of people saying "ground kit"...what is that...those two mudflaps?

Lol... Mudflaps... hehehehe. No, it is a grounding kit also known as an earthing kit. It is additional wires used as ground wires for your ignition system. It is supposed to provide smoother idle and throttle reponse. A lot of people like them, I just dont see the point. Please people, tell me if I am wrong, they just seem like a waste of money, unless you buy it for looks.

is there some shortcoming in the Z's wiring that makes this a fairly neccesary mod?

It see it on alot of Supra WRX and 350Z. I don't know, maybe Honda does better grounding for their cars thats why we don't hear it as much.

He is talking to the thread starter. See we sometimes get annoyed when people act like they are helpless and need us to find it for them. I appreciate helping and teaching others about car stuff. But when people ask you to search for stuff, it is annoying.
