Default 3.8L Cosmetic Head Gasket

initially i was thinking about just getting a standard 3.5L longblock package and upgrading the head gasket to the HKS metal one. i had been hearing a lot of issues with the cosmetic one and so i was going to opt for the hks.

however i know think i just may go with a 3.8L if you guys can assure me of this one thing. seeing as how hks does not make a 100mm head gasket for a 3.8L Z i almost HAVE to go with a cosmetic...i think. has anyone heard any issues with this or should i be ok??

assurance needed!!

cosworth makes a 98mm one.

I may need to research more on head gaskets.

We have a few hundred pulls on 100mm cometic head gaskets secured by stock-size L19 head studs, many of which exceeded 1000whp. No failures to date. If that is your only concern, carry on!
