Question brand new clutch install; weird noise??!!

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3574666

I just had a brand new clutch and flywheel installed and now sometimes when i drive i hear a weird grinding noise, all though its not really a grinding, it kind of sounds like a deisel truck, very strange. it doesnt always happen. i think the person in the link i added above has the same issue but mine doesnt happen as often. They say in that thread, that it could be the throwout bearing. If that is the case, how could that be since mine is brand new?

Anyone have any ideas?

Its probably the normal chatter that you get with aftermarket flywheels. My JWT flywheel sounds like a cement mixer at lower rpm's.

Really? man i hope thats it, yeah it doesnt really sound bad, its just a sound that wasnt there before. "chatter" is exactly what i would call it. Well i am taking it to the shop tomorrow, we will see what they say.

what clutch is it?? i know that when i worked at nissan a mechanic told me 350's were "finicky" on how they are installed and to correct ft lb or inch lb settings on each bolt for the clutch/flywheel....thats y i had him help me when i did mine....if your car "shudders" when u start accel then u should have it checked out but the basic "cement mixer" sounds low in the rpm's is pretty normal it seems like for our cars...except mine..hehe...

almost anytime you replace your clutch in the Z, you're going to have to do the flywheel too. I guess its made of some of some kinda porcelain **** or something. As far as the clutch noise goes, mine sounds like im almost lugging or in too low of a gear for that speed. Completely normal for aftermarket clutches/flyweels. Kinda sucks, but I can put you through a wall of smoke and not Fkuc up my car!
