When i shift hard from 4th to 5th, or downshift from 6th to 5th, there is some kind of grind. I dont have trouble getting into 5th gear, however there is always some grind present. Anyone have similar issues and knows how to troubleshoot this? What might have caused this, i purchased the car used btw, thanks. also could this be covered under warranty?

 

^^ You describe a common problem. The repair is a new transmission. Many members (me included) have had this fixed by Nissan under warranty.
