Default Car Stuck in Idle, Won't Rev At All

I spotted this thread but no others like it:

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/255044-engine-stumbling-will-idle-but-not-rev.html

but I'm not sure what's wrong with mine yet. Sounds similar.

For the record, I was in downtown Tampa traffic yesterday afternoon and my car went from normal driving to suddenly stuck in idle and wouldn't rev no matter what I did with the gas pedal. The dash lit up like a Christmas tree with the Slip, TCS, and Check Engine lights all coming on. After stopping for 2 minutes I got the engine to start up normally but it went back to idle just as soon as I put it in Drive (it's an auto trans and my daily driver). After 3 more minutes turned off, it started and ran normally so I went straight to the dealer. Everything was normal (all performance, all gauges, etc.) and while most warning lights went out, Check Engine stayed on.

I have an 04.5 with 31k on it. No performance mods yet besides a K&N filter. I'll let you know what the dealer says.

Anybody ever heard of being stuck in idle out of the blue while driving? Weird.

If the CEL is on there is a stored code in the ECU. This will help pin point the issue. Off the top of my head sensors that effect throttle control are TPS, CAS and the MAF.

You really need the code before u can move forward

Bingo. TB. You guys were right.
Not under warranty. Throttle body had to be replaced. A throttle sensor went bad and can't be replaced separately. $310 with labor.

She goes fast again!

Wait so its not covered under warranty or your warranty ran out? Just curious cause you have the same year car. I purchased the extended warranty.
