Default Are our tranny's that BAD!!??

Hey guys,
Had my car for over a year now (15 months) about 21K on her, and I know all about the loud tranny and clutch problems. I just cant believe they are this bad though! I've searched the forum. Maybe its just me or my driving, (not my first manual car), but its starting to really annoy me .
Ok, so the whole two-step gear shift, as in, going from 1 to 2, and it pauses slightly in neutral is not bad, but i hate this shift because it seems that everytime i do it, it sort of forces itself into 2nd. The other gears are fine.

Also, i have an 06 and my clutch is light compared with my friends 04, which im not complaining about , but the fact that it only engages in as soon as you depress it, maybe a half inch interval, bugs me because it is much harder to drive the car smooth as opposed to shaky. Starting is also a problem because sometimes i let the clutch ride out and then press the gas, which is perhaps the smoothest method, but trying not to ride the clutch is a PITA.
In addition, the noise that it makes in 1st when you increase the RPM's is so loud i can barely hear the car!

I know Im not the only one, but if i mentioned something above that sounds unfamiliar, please let me know! Just needed to share. Not really looking to replace the clutch, but how is the driving experience with say a JWT clutch??

Thanks for reading my bitchin thread

Congratulations on the random whining thread, the itmes that you refer to are known issues on Z cars.

Feel better now that you have gotten this off your chest??

I have the JWT flywheel and it makes a **** load of noise. Sounds like a cement mixer and makes my car vibrate at low rpm's. Cant tell you about the clutch since I am running a Nismo clutch, I like it except for the pedal getting stuck when its warm out.

lol at this thread.

I have the same problem with the hesitation going into 2nd. I've ignored it since I don't have time to deal with Nissan and their amazing customer service *cough*.

It's usually fine when the gear oil is warmed up, so I usually skip 2nd on really cold mornings.

I've had my Nismo clutch do that as well. I have the Nismo flywheel and LSD as well. It's loud as hell as well.

Yes our transmissions suck. I have the JWT flywheel and it makes no noise at all.
