To get the most power, I'd suggest a single exhaust like the AAM 3 inch single exit.

Save your money, unless you go for nitrous. Anything else is a waste. These cars are not mod-friendly to bolt-ons. Nitrous or FI is another story. I have went from stock, to fully bolted, and back to (almost) stock. Never been happier.

These cars are pretty much maxed out from the factory. Sure, you can bolt on up to 30HP, after you empty your bank account. NOTHING works on these cars like it does on something like an STi, or a Mustang, or an LSx. 30HP on a 300HP engine, at the redline, is not something you're going to be impressed with in day to day driving. Like I said, nitrous or FI is another story. I kept a nice free flowing exhaust, y-pipe, HF cats, and intake filter. Once you add one or two of these items, you've already reached the point of diminishing returns. Combine that with the fact that a stock looking, late model turbo Civic Si with a lower mod budget will hand you your ***, and you get a different perspective on modding.

Tom, if you aren't going to spend much larger amounts on speed, I would say go handling, rims, stereo, body mods.

I agree, but I don't really car about racing honda civics. I just do it to work on my car, a hobby your right the extent of it is a free flowing exhaust, y-pipe, HF cats, and intake filter. Maybe a clutch and flywheel or a UTEC tune, something simply. Stock, I like the car. I would not spend huge amounts of money unless your were going FI.

Zex makes an easy to install nitrous kit. It is under your budget, the added performance is only on when you want it to be, and as long as your somewhat conservative, you'll be fine without building your engine.

As of now my plan was to use....

1,000 for performance
1,000 for nav/dvd screen and install

I have the 18" chrome touring rims that i am happy with for this year and the bose 7 speaker isn't great but its good enough for now.

I want to be able to beat stock 350's and g35's....

i dont understand why some people are saying i'm going to get diminishing returns while dyno's are showing good improvements with these parts?

read about peoples acctuall increase with the mods, and also the occasional issues they have with them. The sales ad dynos are not to be trusted.

You could have all those mods and I would still be faster. Hell, you could have $4,000 worth of bolt-ons and I'll still be faster.

I'm not trying to be an @ss, but bolt-on modifications are IMO worthless.
My advice if you want to beat stock Z's and G's, is to go the track and practice your quarter mile times. The driver mod is priceless.
