Stock strut will fit over 5/16", it will not fit over 1/2". what size do you have?

I had mine off for a while. One thing i did notice was alot more creaks and rattles inside the car. Never really noticed a handling difference. But she is a garage queen, so that's not to say there wouldn't be a difference. But as soon as i put my new strut bar on the pops and rattles went away.
