Default Redline 75W90 or 75W90 NS

Hi guys i did search and didn't seem to find a answer!
I am going to do a Transmission and LSD Fluid change.
Going with Redline MT-90 and MTL. I am gonna mix 50/50 with MTL (70W80) and MT-90 (75w90) to achieve 75W85 for transmission and just using MT-90 for LSD!!! Here is the question: do i need a regular fluid or No-slip fluid??

LSD: slip or non-slip
Trans: slip or non-slip

how about the lsd modifier, do i need that???
Thanks

I used the exact same fluids and ratio. I never heard of the NS suffix, and I have the OEM LSD. Three years, no problems.

I have a base Z, and I was gonna use the 75w90NS in the rear differential, because I don't have VLSD, and decided that I don't need the friction modifier. I called Redline and asked about it.

They said, even though I don't have VLSD, I should use the 75w90 instead of the NS. The friction modifier in the 75w90 will help reduce differential temps more than the NS will.

Do your own research man. If you take any one person's opinion, especially one so contrary to what a logical person would accept, you are not a man, you're a sheep. There are several web sites that compare synthetic fluids, not all completely subjectively, but close enough. The bottom line is what one should expect from synthetics, most are very similar, and none 'suck'.

The NS modifier is intended for differentials with a clutch-type LSD. The viscous LSD which is fitted on the 350z from the factory doesn't benefit from it since the viscous housing is enclosed.

In theory you could use both with good results (which Redline confirmed). I have used the 75w90NS with good results as well. But the oil seems to wear out pretty quickly.

Decided to go with redline!
Transmission: 50/50 with MTL (70W80)/MT-90 (75W90) to creat 75w85, which is recommended by nissan!
LSD: 75W90
Even though 75w90 and MT-90 is same weight, the 75w90 contains additives for lsd, so anybody who are going with Redline, this is what you will be needing!!! MTL & MT-90 for transmission and plain 75W90 for LSD.
I was thinking of Motul but i have used redlines trans oil before and i was really satisfied.

Which oil? MTL? MT-90? 75W90? etc... Redline makes quite a few different formulations for different uses.

Me, I put half and half MTL and MT90 in my transmission and it shifts more smoothly than it ever did with Nissan's oil.

neither of which did my tranny any good..

Do not use GL-5 oil in your transmission.
