Alright, I'm a newbie to this forum. If this is the wrong section, I'm sorry mods, but please move it.
Here is my story:
As some of you guys know, I have recently purchased a 06 PPW GT at a Nissan Dealership here in Atlanta, GA.
I was hesitant to buy it, but the offer was too good to refuse, so I had to get it.
The reason why I was hesitant was because, I've heard some of 06 motors have excessive oil consumption and the motor will soon have to get replaced once it gets real bad.
I have asked my salesman and he brings the paper to show that this motor HAS been replaced in October of 2007. Then, I asked if the motor was HR motor or the regular 2006 motor? They couldn't find out.
Anybody have an idea? Any help will be great! Thanks.

I doubt they could swap out the rev-up motor for a HR motor without changing ECU, adding dual intakes, etc. Nissan isn't going to be that generous - you got an 06 to replace the one that was there originally.

Find the engine serial# and you will know.
I highly doubt you have an HR. But for arguements sake, prop open the hood, and check to see if you have single or dual intakes.
*Question answered"
100% sure you have a single intake tube.
Enjoy!

Ahh alright. single tube it is. Thanks for the info guys!
However, my another question is that, what is causing the oil to burn? How do I prevent this? Is it due to incorrect way of breaking-in? Or what is it?
