Default Nismo bolt on kit

Found this in Nismo's site, its a kit that consists of the following:

-Air Filter
-Fly wheel
-Higher flowing y-pipe and cat back
-Piggy back computer

Price of the kit is said to be 550,000 yen for manual and 500,000 for automatic, that works out to be around $4,600 for manual and around $4,200 for automatic.

I know that most of you are already aware of these parts but them being available as a kit was new to me.

I thought the NISMO piggy back unit wouldn't work on US cars?

Default why bother

Wouldn't get this kit for 4 G's

1) that exhaust is the nismo single (if it is nismo at all) so maybe no or very little increase

2) heard nismo flywheel didn't save much on weight

3) thats not cold air intake

Better off getting the best maker of each specific part.... but NISMO/Nissan might do this as an option for the customers with wide pockets.... For only 15 WHP - max....

Unhappy Nismo Hi-flo cats....

Would be nice to have the ones included in this kit...
But $1400 just for the cats...yikes!!!!

Nismo headers and these cats would probably give you close to 20 hp with decent catback exhaust..... :-)

Well, the "piggyback computer" definitely raises my eye. I have to assume this is an ECU upgrade, hmmmm.............

little_rod - Piggybacks won't do much.

Rxramon- that is not a CAI and no one said it was, it is an air filter. Nismo single? It is a dual exhaust and they do not make a single outlet exhaust. Nismo's flywheel saves about 8lbs.

MustGoFastR- it should not fit. But I think these are made for US Spec cars so...

TheFurture - way off on hp numbers, it should be ~30hp.

A single pipe going to dual tips isn't really a dual exhaust. Its a single exhaust with dual tips. A dual exhaust has separate pipes coming straight off the headers and going all the way back, like the Borla True Dual exhaust system.

To be politically correct, those are called "true dual". There are single, dual, and true dual. Borla's and Amuse's should not be called true dual because the pipes meet at a muffler and then exit whereas Injen's is straight back with their own muffler for each pipe.

-Air Filter 2.5rwhp
-Fly wheel 2.5 rwhp
-Higher flowing y-pipe and cat back 10 rwhp
-Piggy back computer 5rwhp
-Cams 15 rwhp
-Headers 15rwhp

Unless I'm way off this looks pretty close to 50rwhp

it don't add up like that. You can't just add up all the HP that each mods give out. you won't get all the HP stated, in the end when dyno'ed it'll be closer to 30 than 50.

also..thats an optimal condition on a dyno. in real life maybe 1/3rd less even. i do not expect any real gains from th ebolt ons , rather I consider them preparation for a SC or Turbo when available. getting the car as beefy as possible so it will easilt take the real mods.

This was posted a few months ago. With the entire brocher scan and analysis of what was included.

1/ ECM upgrade
2/ exhaust (stainless steel)
3/ flywheel
4/ air element
5/ special plugs

also the price includes installation and certification registry, which is something that's only applied to Japanese cars.
