Exclamation 04' oil consumption?

So it was time again for my oil change today and it was only 3 1/2 quarts of old oil that came out. That includes topping off oil once in a while to make sure it wasnt low. Does the 04' engines have oil comsuption problems as well? My car only has 21,724 miles so far. I'm using
0W-30 100% Synthetic Motor Oil.

The only thing I have done is the Homemade Catch Can (https://my350z.com/forum/engine-drivetrain-and-forced-induction-diy/237059-homemade-catch-can.html) and that was about six month ago or so. I have to empty it at least every 2 weeks.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

EDIT::: Mods please move to the correct forum. Sorry for not paying attention!!!

I am having issues myself with oil consumption on my 04. When I took my car in for mantainence they said that I was very low on oil. The service manager put this in the notes for next time in case there is a problem. My drivetrain warranty expires this year so I want to get this cleared up while I have coverage. I change my oil between 3-5K miles and I only have 17K now on the car. I can tell I am about a 1/2 quart already in 2K miles since the last oil change.

I have an 'O4 Touring Coupe (14+k); so far, everything's O.K., guys. Until you
arrive at a resolution of your predicament, I recommend you check your oil level, AT LEAST, on a weekly basis; sooner, if it's not a hassle. If your Zed has otherwise given good svce., you should keep 'em. If not, sale is an option.
