As strange as it sounds yes it was the LED tail lights that I had put on the car. I got them off Ebay though. Another member here had the same issue. So just to make sure I took the stock tail lights off and put the LED ones back on and the car was back to the hesitation stage, put stock lights on and good to go. Strange but I know LED runs off different voltage so it must have been messing with the whole electrical system.

I just wanted to update everyone here. The car is back to it's normal self and runs like a bat out of h*ll! The ecu finally reprogramed itself for the mods done to the car as well. It's been a week since I swaped the tail lights and it just runs like a ****! Weird how the led tail lights were messing with the throttle response. Who knows. . . . .

sounds like crank angle position sensor.. i got the same symptoms you got vdc, slip, check engine light on.. limped home at 5mph. i got code p0335. ecu wasnt getting a good signal from the sensor. dealer changed sensor and bolt that holds it in place.. no probs since
ps.. on 03's (which u have) there was a recall for this. hope it helps

There's also a small diagram to help out with the procedure.
