Default NA Build in Mid 300s?

Is it possible to build and does anyone have their VQ35 NA with mid 300rwhp (for those who don't get it somewhere around 350rwhp give or take some rwhp) ?

It would require a completely built engine which will run you a boatload of cash. If you are looking into that kind of power check out the LS drop the Noahzburnt did in his Z and call it a day.

no matter which route you go, FI, A V8, built NA - they all require similar amounts of $ to do it properly - at the end of the day, it's all personal preference, there is not one that is better, nor worse, just different

for all you saying i haven't done much to my car... that's true. However, I'm not gonna pour money into an na build and then switch over to turbo or something like that. I am reaserching my options. Yes, I searched around and found no na builds with mid 300whp, so I figured I'd ask.

Thank you for all of you who tried to help answer my question.

Z1, love the build you have going. I'm deffinatley going to be making my engine stronger... I'm just inbetween going na or turbo or supercharged. Oh and one question for you... Is that carbon intake you have really worth the money or is it just more cf under the hood?

I say its a waste of money. My 1k Nitrous set up is power when I need it and reliable. And ur car will sound like a honda with a APC pipe

Reliable is a completely relative term...your car with just nitrous, is no more reliable than any other FI setup, or built NA setup, at the end of the day. It could literally grenade itseld tomorrow, without warning, just like anyone else's setup here could. When you mod, its not a zero sum game - any modding comes at a price, and that price is not always just the cost of the parts and the labor itself. Being prepared for those possibilities is the most important part of the modding plan.

I don't think anyone could make the argument that an intake of that price is worth it from a performance standpoint...I bought it just because I loved how it looked and because GruppeM has a reputation for making gorgeous carbon fiber stuff that fits great. That being said, it will be for sale soon as I am going in a new direction...stay tuned to the private classifieds during the next month or so

I'm sure it would be possible to hit close to mid 300's rwhp on the new HR engine. I've seen a dyno with 309.x rwhp on a HR engine with dual cold air intakes, catback exhaust, and a tune. I think the HR has alot more potential NA then the DE engine. Can anyone explain this?

completely different motor much much better heads and cams. little higher compression ratio, small tweaks can make a large difference the old vq was not much more than a slightly tuned up maxima or quest motor.
