Default Clutch engagement after SS line install?

I just replaced my OEM clutch line with a SS line and fresh Motul fluid. The first thing that was noticed was the clutch now engages further from the floor (almost at its peak). The clutch does feel more solid and responsive but the engagement point is bugging me. Has anyone else with this mod experienced the same?

I installed the ss line and mine engages right off the floor. I have the competition clutch and flywheel too. Don't know if that makes a difference. It's like when you just start letting the clutch pedal come up it grabs. I love it!

Oh yeah forgot to mention, sounds like you need to bleed the system. Try that and come let us know how you make out.

Thanks for the input. I did end up using the entire bottle of Motul fluid during the bleeding process. It did seem to be a bit of overkill while bleeding the system but I wanted to make sure all the air was out of there. Do you think it could use some more bleeding? I was getting a solid flow from the bleeder valve.

i thought air in the system would only make it mushier. i don't see how it could make it engage higher...but i could be wrong.

I have since done a gravity bleed tapping on the slave cylinder from time to time while bleeding. After driving, I can't really see any improvements. I have noticed that since I installed the ss line the clutch motion feels great when cold. After driving awhile, the smooth feel goes away and the movement feels sort of lumpy (it's the only way I know how to describe). I wonder if the ss line is the problem (I can't see how)? Maybe I'll get the Nismo SS line and try that. All in all It's a much better improvement over the factory "pedal drop" hose and fluid but I really want it to my liking.
