Default Clutch Slipping Issue

I currently have 52,000 on my 03' touring and Im starting to experience clutch slip, its mostly in 3 gear and up. If I hammer the gas to hard the RPMs raise but the vehicle does not speed up.

What do I need to replace? Just the clutch disc? I did a search on google and found a canadian company based out of NJ that has an OEM disc for $90. Is this all that I need or do I need a new flywheel and other parts also?

Please fill me in as I am not familiar with clutch/transmission topics.

Thanks

Since your clutch has already slipped which tends to
screw up the flywheel and pressure plate, you might
be able to have the flywheel resurfaced, but it best to
replace the pressure plate AND clutch disk with a new
throw out bearing included. Most clutch packages give
a new throw out bearing with their package. Be sure to
address the condition of the flywheel...resurface or replace!

Hope that helps

I had the same issue on my car that you discribed and i just replaced my clutch with a JWT clutch and love it in comparison to the oem clutch.

as for flywheel, i had it resurfaced at a local machine shop for about 25 bucks.

i track - autoX and drift my car quite often and the JWT clutch works spot on! even for daily driving...there is no "soft engagement while depressing the clutch pedal feel"....the JWT clutch is spot on.....very confidence inspiring In my opinion.
