Default Front main seal

I have had an oil leak for awhile now, I originally thought it was my turbo return line cause it had a kink in it and was leaking. I fixed that and am still having a leak. Its pretty bad now. Almost 4 quarts in 3k miles.

I'm pretty sure it the front main seal.

Does any one know if I need any special tools for that. I have a pully puller for the pullies. Is there anything else though.

No special tool needed for the front seal. You can hook the edge of it with a small screwdriver or something to get it started.

so it is just like a rear main seal? thats what i was starting to think, you just tap the new one back into place around the crank. so its like a wheel bearing dust seal. its one of those things that if youre lucky it will take a half hour to do the actual seal part, but could end up taking 3 hours if its a bish to get out, like a pilot bushing

Awesome, thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure before I started to do the project cause I'm going to be doing the work in my parents garage cause I live in an apartment complex, so I didn't want to get it apart and find out I need something else.

Now, I took everything apart and found out its not my seal that is leaking. The actual crank pulley has a crack right near the keyway slot. So if anyone happens to have one laying around hit me up and I will be willing to take it off your hands.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm looking for something a little more local first.
