^ lol nismo-aholic, i was a TRD-aholic with my previous car. i wouldn't be able to bring some info online i just saw it happen twice to my friends Z's, but like i stated in my previous post these guys where stupid enough to think that their low Z's could clear a puddled that some small trucks wouldn't dare cross because they felt that the small bypass valve would stop the hydrolock in a "puddle" that the filter was 3/4 submerged in

norapat01, what are you smoking???

keyto123 said he has an $8,000 budget.... Only an expert with access to all of the proper tools and facilities, or a moron, would even think of attempting any of these suggestions on $8,000. He will get far better performance and reliability investing the $8,000 into a VQ35DE that drops right in without requiring modifications to motor mounts/chassis, transmission adapter plates, etc.

Also, are you suggesting that the VG30DETT is a "nice motor" while the VQ35DE is not?

norapat01, for future reference, you should refrain from trying to give advice until you know what you are actually talking about.

Sorry to hear that, I let my Mom drive my car awhile back. She curb check both of my wheels, that was when I had the Saleen it cost me $1800 to replace them. The point of the story is parents don't think of your car like we do, next time if they want to drive just say no...
