Stillen Supercharged
Yeah, you are the first I have heard of too. I have wondered if you HAVE to go with the stillen hood, or can another hood do with a hood scoop. I would like it more if there was a functional scoop there instead of just a lump.
Love to see pics and get your opinions on the upgrade.

I should be picking up the car tomorrow. I will definitely keep everyone updated. Stillen has something else coming if this supercharger isn't what is promised. As far as the hood, I got the Fiberglass Stillen hood. I wanted to keep my stock hood just in case I ever needed to get my car to stock.

I went to my local nissan dealer a few days ago to get my car aligned, and the service manager had his car parked in the lot. He had just installed the stillen supercharger in conjunction with an injen cai. He had cut a hole his his hood and he was waiting for the scoop to install. The install looked pretty clean, and he said it was running perfect. He wanted to race me so he could see how much performance he actually gained but I would've had to wait a few hours till he got off on a break; so we didn't do it.
well now you know you're not the 1st
good luck

Yes you HAVE to have the special hood (or the scoop) for the Stillen SC.
Max Hax has an auto and he recently got the ATI Procharger. Way more power than the Stillen and his auto is doing fine.

Well I hope all turns out well. I had an M3, and a 540i and loved both those cars. Stillen is luckily only an hour away and if all doesnt turn out well I will be throwing this supercharger through their office window.

i think i read somewhere in a magazine about a Z dynoing 350+ hp with the stillen SC.
i think the ati is only making 10-20 hp more to the wheels.

The Stillen supercharger puts down about 300whp. There is a dyno chart from the Stillen event. There is also a video of the Stillen Z on the dyno. Do a search. I believe the supercharger is at 5.4 or 5.6 psi also.

Yeah, that would make sense, since the ATI is pushing only about 1 pound of boost more than the stillen one - 7 vs. 6 or 6.2, am I right?

i think stillen is pushing out 5 psi?
Hopefully, if they (Stillen) are telling the truth, they will come out with more mods, including an intercooler for this thing (supercahrger). We will see when i pick it up tomorrow. My biggest concern is heat and how it affects long distance driving, you know those late night 100mph+ drives to vegas (About 4 hours away) in the 100 degree heat.
This dyno was posted in the ATI thread:
According to the poster, the Green line is the Stillen HP, which seems to max out at about 275 RWHP.
It looks to me like the Black line is the Stillen TQ, which comes on strong very low and stays very linear throughout the RPM range.
The light blue line is the ATI TQ, which starts out less than the Stillen but eventually passes at 3250 and keeps climbing.
The dark blue line is the ATI HP which almost reaches 350 RWHP (it looks like 348.3 in the line at the bottom).
This graph is really cool since it shows how the different types of S/C's affect the torque curve and how you might choose one over the other depending on your goal for the car. It looks like both S/C's could use a little tuning (the dips in the torque curve make it seem like things may be a tad rich in certain RPM ranges), but overall the gains are very impressive.
I look forward to hearing about your Stillen install and any reviews of the final system.
Congrats!
