Stillen Supercharged
With as small as the default SC pulley appears, I would tend to agree with Stillen. In general you are limited to how much smaller a snout pulley you can be , due to belt slip and SC efficiency.
As the pulley shrinks there is less suface area for belt contact and hence a higher probablity for slip. Also spinning a smaller SC faster creates more heat than a larger SC being spun slower. As we know heat is bad , and increases the min octane requirements. It may be possible to increase the SC speed by increasing the size of tha crank pulley; however, it in turn would spin all the accessories that much faster as well.
Good headers and catback exhaust are allways good adders for any streetable SC application. Compared to the SC whine itslef , headers usually add an insignificant amount of noise. Little extra out tailpipe , some raspy sounds from the header itself (depending on the how thick the tube gauge).
Does Stillen provide:
a) larger injectors+ECU retune ?
or
b) inline FMU with stock injectors ?
or
c) Aux wet injector with piggyack controller ?
Generally b) is the most limiting but can easily work within CARB regs. c) can also be made to work within CARB and a) generally not.
