Question High Oil Pressure?

Hi !!

I have a 07'SMB, and before it, I had a 06'MB.

I have noticed that the normal oil pressure (in all situations) is a little higher in the '07 than in the '06 (with a 0W30 factory oil).

I have changed the oil for the first time last week (Mobil 1 5W50) and I have noticed that the oil pressure is even higher, which is reasonable in priciple as the oil viscosity is higher too. But I think it's too high, what do you think about it?

* Oil pressure at engine starting (cold engine - 15 ēC Exterior temperature): 110 psi.
* Oil pressure at operating temperature @2500 rpm: 80-90 psi.
* Oil pressure at operating temperature @idle: 30 psi.
* Oil pressure at operating temperature @full speed up: 115-120 psi.

Thanks in advance !!

TFM only says that "When the engine speed is high, the engine oil pressure is also high. When it is low, the gauge indicates the low oil pressure."

I was only asking because I noticed that the oil pressure was higher at the '07 in respect of the '06 at the same operating conditions with the same oil, and I don´t know if driving constantly over 90 psi is good at all for the engine, and in fact over 150 psi at sport driving...

that is because the 2007 is a HR engine, where the 2006 is a DE engine. though the VQ35 is the same, they are completely different. you can not compare an apple to an orange and expect the same result

mathews nissan is right up the road near exit 11, but i take it you are overseas after seeing some of your other posts so i know that does you no good. but as for that smell, you probably got a bit on the block itself and that smell is the oil burning off. if your level is normal then you got nothing to worry about.

Ok, I understand that, but... then, you don't think those values for oil pressure are too high, do you?

Sorry for my insistence, but I'm a little concerned with this issue.
