Default Need immediate help - oil pressure

I was driving this morning to work and noticed my oil pressure gauge well over 120psi. Engine temp is fine and oil level is fine...turned off the car and turned key to 'on' position and gauge is at 90psi, even though the car is off. I can't remember what it used to be so can someone please do me a favor and check what their gauge reads with the car off and the key to the 'on' position? It would help me out to determine if its the oil gauge or not. Thank you!

Is the gauge pegging to 120 when the car is cold and you turn the key to the on position (not starting the car).Should be under warranty.Mine went out after the warranty ran out.

yes, it jumps to 90 without the car even running and when i start the car it goes past 120. I'm going in tomorrow to see if warranty will cover this. If not i'll do it myself. Thanks.

there are at least 10 threads about what happens when the sending unit/sensor goes out and where it is and what it costs. search, advanced, keywords, titles only, boolean....should take you right there....

If you do it yourself be careful to not over tighten it. Its a simple install if you have access to a lift.
