i know the throw out bearing normally makes the characteristic ratlling noise, but today my '07 had a clicking/rattle underneath the pedal area (behind the wall) that started at about 3k rpm. the tempo of the rattle increased as the rpms increased from 3k. i don't know what this could be. my car seems to be driving fine. i've had the recall done. i've also had a new clutch/pressure plates installed due to the recall. the click is annoying. i have never heard it before today. it comes and goes as i'm driving.
