Pulleys
Well,
I was thinking about installing a set of pulleys in my 350Z. So I was wondering if I need to dyno tune my car after I have them installed for me to drive my car safely so it doesn't detonate. Can I still drive safely if I don't dyno tune it after I install the set of pulleys. I know that if I don't tune it I won't get as high of hp and tourque gains but I want to know if it is safe.

There isn't any tuning required for a pulley swap, you either detonate or you don't. A Dyno will just give you A/F and whether you have KR (probably false) if you want a good motor mod and don't plan on N20 or FI it's a good mod and there isn't any 'tuning' required or even possible.

The crank pulley is smaller and more efficient, and the p/s pully and the alternator (or the other 2 that come in a set) are bigger and reduce the power they "steal" from the engine.

I want to get the Unorthodox Racing Ultra SS set. I found it for $340 on www.unorthodoxracing.com. It is $399.99 and is 15% off. Is there any other store that sells it cheaper.

Just to clarify...
The UnorthodoxRacing kit consists of a lightweight underdrive crank pulley and 2 lightweight accessory pulleys. The accesory pulleys are not sized differently for underdriving, they are only lighter weight than stock.

Can I still use this pulley set with a turbocharger. I want to get the GReddy kit but Also want to get the pulleys. I am also pretty sure that it gives 8-15 hp gain and 6-10 tourque gain on a N/A engine. If it is turbocharged you can gain 10-18 hp and 10-20 tourque.

Sillent Killer:
yes you can use it on a turbocharged engine. as for hp if you click on the link above you can read about how much hp it makes on the 350z. its only 5 rwhp peak and 3lbs torque. you will get more out of a turbocharged engine but no one knows yet how much more. every car is different. they say on the 300zx it was 22rwhp (doubt it). on my old eclipse it was a peak of 8rwhp.

My experience tells me to avoid 2Kracing, but that is my experience. I would try www.350zforums.org (note the .ORG). They have the cheapest price I have seen, they carry all the colors, and they typically have them in stock.
As a side note, I put these on my car the other day and it is easy. The HP gain is small, but worth it. The real benefit is that the engine revs MUCH faster and downshifting without double-clutching is more smoothe. I seriously rank this as one of my best mods.
