I never noticed it before until last night when my wife was getting out of the car and I was still in gear. Once I put it in neutral and got out to check it out, it stopped. I'll let you know if I find out anything, but I'm still looking also.
I noticed the clicking sound from my 03 as well..donno if something is wrong. Pls keep us updated if u find the root cause.

the reason your engine is clicking is because you are not using a nissan oil filter or equivalent. the nissan oil filter has a special valve called an anti-drain back valve that prevents oil from draining back into the crank case during a shutdown. what happens is if you use a filter other than nissan or K&N which has the anti drain back valve, the rockers for the valve train become un primed and start making a clicking noise. this is why you hear the noise coming from the plenum. just start using either K&N or nissan oil filter next oil change and after a while it should go away. it should not harm your motor in the mean time. i have the same noise with my engine and the nissan techs told me its a very common complaint people come in with in the VQs.
yours sounds more like normal clutch chatter
