Am I running too lean?
Ok, so to sum up a long story...
I am getting my motor replaced due to oil consumption. I worked it out with the dealer for them to transfer ALL my bolt-on mods to the new motor. I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to get headers installed as well... I went with DC.
Based on my mods below, + headers, is this going to be a problem??? I am planning on having my Z tuned at Performance Factory (as soon as I get a reply email!) with a stand alone ECU. I want to break in the engine properly, but I obviously don't want A/F issues this early.
Thanks

The exhaust manifolds shouldn't change anything drastic for it to run lean,It wouldn't even be worth tuning man.It changes it so little the stock ecu can adjust that little. Now some pecker will try to argue with me,then point you to his buddy's shop so you can blow some hard earn cash.I'd wait to get some cam's maybe then do a tune.Just a suggestion.
Just wondering why you would need to get your motor replaced cuss of oil consumption?
Second: Your headers will not affect you running lean from my understanding.
Now I am not a mechanic but from my understanding you need to gauge your air/fuel mixter and this would only be a issue if your running a turbo "ie: upgraded injectors and fuel pump".
I have the TN kit and I run very rich, so rich it stains the bumper. But I have to run this rich cus when the bost kicks in hard then it runs prime. Are you boosted?
