Default Lightest Clutch & Flywheel assembly (aside from tilton)

Well since my search for a Tilton clutch/flywheel combo is going no where, not even tilton has them available at this point. I was wondering what the next lightest flywheel and clutch is out there? The tilton flywheel and clutch weigh 8lbs each. The combo will be run in a NA track car so street drivability isnt a huge deal as it wont see the streets all that much. Any suggestions?

Nick

I don't know about clutch weights but For flywheel
Unorthodox Racing Lightweight Flywheel is around 12lbs
and ACT prolite flywheel is about 13lbs

Not light enough?

Got them from Adam @ z1auto.com.

competition clutch flywheel is also light....varies from 11-14lbs for NA and 8-10 FI. i have the comp clutch kit with stage 4 clutch and i believe my setup weighs 28-30lbs? not sure. but you can tell a huge difference in the rise and drop of rpms, better torque feel.

act street setup is good too, but i believe it costs way to much for ACT....your basically paying for the name.

I running the OS Giken Single plate clutch with integrated flywheel (aluminum pressure plate cover version, they also do a stamped steel pressure plate cover which is a touch heavier) - weighs 24.5 lbs as a full assembly, couple more with the throw out bearing and sleeve (included). I know you said driveability isn't a huge issue, but having driven the Tilton, and mine, there is zero comparison - the OS is infinitely more civil

not as a full clutch/flywheel assembly it doesn't - that unit needs an automatic flywheel, which is a boat anchor by itself. The clutch itself is right around 17 lbs, then add in the auto flywheel and you're closer to 40 lbs for an assembly

their twin disk requires the auto flywheel, that's what I was referring to

the OP I believe is looking for the lightest full assembly, clutch and flywheel together

How much for one of these setups? I went to your site and it says coming soon. Mine would be my DD and track car, how would this combo work on the street? Thanks again as always.

no sweat - we have not had a chance t update the site with the OS Giken stuff, but we're now a direct dealer.

As far as driveability, it's very easy to get along with. However, one caveat I will make is thatit works MUCH better (driveability wise) without a lightweight crank pulley. When I changed from the UR pulley to the ATI (which is heavier), the car totally changed for the better as far as clutch engagement. It became much smoother, much easier to modulate the pedal, and quieter overall. Overall impressions - it's grabbier than stock for sure (all integrated units are), but it bites hard an revs very quickly

I'll pm you the details
