Default smoking at WOT

White smoke is indicative of coolant in the combustion chamber. But don't jump to conclusions. Bad fuel injectors will also cause white smoke.

Since it was night time and the exact color would be hard to tell, perhaps it could have been oil burning. You should check your compression and do a leakdown test if its low.

Could be some condensation left in the exhaust vaporizing? Was it cold out? A lot of white smoke usually means coolant in combustion chamber. If it's just a puff when you gun it, not a big deal.

I was gonna say... sniff the tailpipe. Then I realized it's only at WOT.
Perhaps someone can rev WOT while you sniff the tailpipe? LOL...

On a serious note, a slightly sweet smell indicates coolant combustion. A small whiff directed by hand is a good test.

Most likely clogged PCV leading to elevated crankcase pressure and oil being evacuated through the motor - exhaust - voila, smoke. $16 part - 5 mins - swap it out.

As mentioned, do a compression and leakdown test.
