Amuse R1 dyno and AFR results
Just got back from the dyno. I fitted the Amuse R1 about 2 weeks ago and wanted to test their claimed gains.
First graph is the standard power and torque chart. Red line is my previous run (ie stock exhaust), blue the new run.
Next graph shows power and AFR. Again red is old, blue is new. As you can see the AFR basically hasn't changed with the addition of the exhaust, it's still spot on.
9.9rwkw (13rwhp) gain. I'm pretty happy with that.
Let the questions commence

All mods are in my sig so stock airbox and filter. All cats still in place, stock Y pipe etc etc. The only thing that may also add to power is the grounding kit but it was on for the first run as well so the gain is the exhaust change alone.

Interesting gains, although I still have the theory that more power can be gained by the Aussie Zs from the exhaust end cause of their more restrictive stock exhaust than the US models.

Thats fantastic. Actually better than I expected.
Torque looks as if it hasn't changed much but 10kw from just the R1 is a nice gain.
And thats without a Y pipe !
One question though, Why are the RPM'S so high?

The claimed gain is about 8rwkw so I'm fairly happy although I agree there may be more to gain on our cars than the US ones. I haven't seen anyone in the US post a dyno of the Amuse so who knows for sure.
Blue, if you're referring to the numbers at the right margin that's the torque measurement, not rpms.

Thats some great gains...i bet you had a big smile on your face when those figures came up.
btw i would have thought a 13.5:1 AF is optimum for our car....sounds like there is about 10rwkw in a map.
Great to see you got a good result.

It didn't occur to me that it was a bigger than expected gain at first. Nice thing is the curve is now generally smoother than stock.
There may be some power there by fiddling with the maps but there'll be more gained by tuning with FI. Everyone's been going on how an exhaust or intake throws the AFR out and can run too lean but there you can see it's basically spot on what it was stock. Would've liked to have the Mines intake in place but it hasn't arrived.
Also working on some possible other products and heard that a Power FC for the Z may be available early in the new year.

Apps that's great news on the power gain. That is an additional 14kW at the crank BTW, so your Z is now 220kW - nice.
I'd like to see what Power FC can add to the Z. You may have heard of the LS1Etid software program for GenIII V8's adds 20rwkW, by simply reflashing the chip. I've emailed them today and asked if they have a software edit program for the Z. Will let you know their response.

Good gains, more than I expected. From the dyno sheets in Hyper Rev it would seem the next best option would be the cats and not the Y-pipe. Unfortunatly the cats are on a bend which makes fabrication a little more expensive.
If a Apexi Power FC comes out I will be in for the group by. Have had one before and will buy it again.
Otherwise HKS FCON V here we come.
Just need someone with the software Damn..

For the Amuse? I got it from Hi Octane Racing. Install can be done yourself as it's only 4 bolts but if you don't want to it won't take more than an hour for any workshop to do. Dyno isn't neccessary but expect around $70 -- $80 per run or $50 if you do it on a club dyno day as I did.
