Default putting the HR motor on a 05

There is a guy that has a HR motor with 8K in my neck of the woods that will sell it with tranny for 2K. What else would I need for the swap? Can I use the existing ECU and Wire harness.

$2000 with the tranny Are you sure they are in good running condition, that price definitely seems too good to be true. Ya might want to look a bit further into this one...

Well I have an 03'. Are you saying if I want an HR 350z I should just get rid of my car for an 07'. The guy is right about a lot of the extra stuff you will need but whatever. That is a great price for an engine so pick it up and remember to do it right.

ive seen used 07's going for around 20k, you do the math. $2k + $1k for the rest of the stuff you need + several thousands of dollars in labor. just trade the 05 in and buy a 07 and pay the same price and get a new car.

Well then I guess for the cost of an HR you can just build the DE for N/A.
