Default welded lsd or spool?

okay does anyone know which of these is the best bang for buck?
one of my good buddies drives and sr20 with a welded diff. ive driven his car a couple of times and i mean yeah if you go into a turn to fast the back end chirps like no other but it was bearable. i also heard things of spool diff's that were pretty good but i heard these are most for rally. and than of course there are lsd that everyone knows about
just so everyone is clear, i drive an 08 base 350
and this is my daily driver, but i also am interested in taking my baby into a couple of drift events, but i think i should upgrade my diff before i do anything.
any advice on which i should pick? and one more thing, im a poor college student, so lsd is kind of a far reach for me due to the fact that i have no money. haha

I don't even know if there are any spools available for the 350z. Welding the diff on a brand new 30k sports car is just plain stupid. Both seem pretty silly for a daily driver, don't bother with either.

RUN FOR COVER AND PUT ON YOUR FLAME SUIT.

Save your money and save for a LSD........I run a Nismo and i love it.....but the nismo is loud clunky and jerky....but performs spot on!!!

Welded diff and spool are the same thing, with the only difference being that the spool won't shatter into a million pieces after a while.

The only things I've ever used a locked diff for is being cheap on a clunker "race" car. Basically something we'd trash on and throw away. Otherwise you're better running an actual LSD. If you plan on driving the car on the street with a locked diff, you should be shot on site. Plain unsafe and fairly stupid. No sugar coating that.

Don't weld it. My buddies friend blew up her welded diff on the freeway at 80mph. Needless to say the diff also completely seized up. This was in an S14

Just buy a nice 2 way, or even a 1.5 if its mostly a street car.

I ran a spool on one of my mustangs. It was great for the track but everytime I drove it on the street it was annoying. I couldnt imagine it with a irs style of suspension. Prolly mess alot of stuff up.

The Tomei Technical Trax (2-way) is probably the cheapest. I'm extremely happy with it.
