Default Need help..Service Engine Soon Light and Hard to start???

driving home this afternoon on the freeway, doing about 65 in 6th gear. felt a slight jerk, and the shifter popped out of 6th. service engine soon light and the slip/vdc light came on also. i put it back in 6th and drove on with no problems. the only issue im seeing right now is that its hard to turnover when starting. i know a service engine light means something in the emissioms system and im guessing its an O2 sensor but not 100% any help will be great

Your problem has nothing to do with your o2 sensor. If I were you, I'd go to an auto parts store and have them pull the code to see why your light is on. From what you're saying, the problem started when your shifter popped out of gear. An o2 will not cause this, nor will it cause your car to have trouble turning over or starting. Get it checked out

took it in and the code read for the cam sensor. the shifter popping out of gear just happened from the jerking when the sensor went out. ended up having a replacement in the motor im building so code reading - $0 new part $0 fixing the problem yourself - priceless

so it was a cam problem? I had a similar thing happen to me today. Felt a jerk while driving didnt think anything of it... then when I stopped at a stop sign the engine died.. then it was a really hard start and all 3 lights on. they stayed on and had the same result when i turned it off and started it again to see if it would happen again. trying to figure out what it could be...

where did you get your code checked for free?

I can see you made an honest effort to edit the title. I went ahead and did it for you...
