How much torque do you have? 700 pounds trying to twist the motor off the mounts? If not skip it.

I could see the use in it on a high horsepower car or on a drag car where you launching at high RPM's and have a lot of initial torque shock. For daily use I don't see the point of it.

I've got something similar on my BBC... It's a piece of chain bolted to the frame and block so when the big block twists it take some load off the motor mounts.

Honestly, I bought one off ebay, and fitment was okay, but you need to modify the bracket slightly.

I am not sure if it is because I have the shiety 2003 tranny, but with the torque dampener, the car goes into the gears alittle smoother.
