Default Any Info On The Jic 350z?

Rumor has it that the JIC 350Z (along with their Silvia) was out at Willow Springs Raceway...

The JIC last I saw had the ATI Procharger on it. The next part blows because I'm this friggen close | | to buying their unit.

It blew up after 3 laps.

and the gods of superchargers wept. I was hoping the previous 2 were user or installation errors. This makes 3. Somebody tell me what's going on. HELP!!!

Perhaps you should opt for a Stillen unit, I haven't heard them blowing up.

Thats an odd rumor to hear...

Because I have seen that car, at the drift event they won not to long ago.. with the blower on it. It was getting flat out FLOGGED at that event, and nothing sounded cooler then the BOV venting away as the throttle was shut. It has been to the D1 event also, so it's not like just 3 laps have been put on that car.

Rumor I have heard is that the JIC car has more then 9psi of boost, the small intercooler, over 400 HP. I over heard somone bragging about the car. And when I snapped some shots of the car, it did appear to have a small intercooler.

I think most would agree that is kinda pushing the limits, no matter if it was a blower or a turbo.

Maybe the car was low on fuel, and after starving the pump for gas, ended up hurting something. Maybe a belt came off, maybe the tranny broke, maybe the clutch let go, maybe the fan caught on fire. I think more details need to be spoken for, other then just saying "it blew up" That leaves that pretty open ened. I can't wait to hear the details, maybe JIC will come on the board and post.

Poor ProCharger getting a bad rap for making a wicked blower that makes it to easy to get greedy with the power. Stillen not blowing up... LOL maybe because it doesn't make squat for power.

Putting a Forced induction on a 350Z is just like putting it on a E36 M3 BMW. Moderation, and tuning are the keys. If you push your limits, you will get damage.

Period end of story.

Apparently, it dumped oil all over. I'm going to call JIC and see if they have more specifics. When does the intercooled STILLEN Blower come out?

why not give Stillen a call.... or maybe drop "zparts" a pm. He seems to be in the know when it comes to Stillen.

866-250-5543 is the toll free number but you ought to just call their local line.. they are REALLY close to you.

or you could stop by and ask 'em. I'm sure you know where they are.

3 total? Maybe you should search and see that a dozen other motors have blown.
