Oil help!!!

Default Oil help!!!

I own a 2003 350z 6mt 63K. I am consuming 1qt/500mi and I dont know why oil is Burning? I am showing some signs of smoke only at full throttle in the upper RPM's. My coolant is still bright green no issues there. I just dont get it, my car runs perfect! any help would be much appriciated!!!

You can try adding a catch can (search for those keywords) and try replacing your PCV valve - $20 or less, but you need a big @ss socket to get it off (I think 21 mm but not sure)

Had a catch can(husky air style) filled up about half 40% of the way after 250 Miles. Nissan dealer didnt stock pcv valves said they never replaced one yet on a car.

Oil is getting in the combustion chamber where it should not be. You can do a compression and leak down test for diagnostics.

You're burning oil which means you have at least one or more faulty rings.

time for a rebuild

If the rings were shot wouldn't it smoke all the time? Or even Run like ****? The car runs perect

Depends on how bad they are, all the 06's with oil consumption issues still ran fine.


like it's been mentioned a compression test is the best way to know for sure.
