Default 06 revup motor in a 03 z will it work?

Ok long story short I blew my motor and bought a new long block that I thought was 03 to 04 but it turned out to be a revup motor. Does anyone know if this motor will work in my 2003? I know we have to block off the secondary cam sensor wholes but will the motor run without the vvl?

Any help would be great. I know alot of you are going to say just buy am 03-04 motor but I got the motor for 750 bucks and really want to try and make it work.
