Anyone ever seen this done?

VQ40DE in anything besides it's stock form?

I've seen many people talk about it being possible, but have yet to find it.
I can find plenty of VK and VH builds, but no VQ40DE

How would a:
VQ40DE block and heads mated with a
VQ35HR 6MT tranny
dropped in a Z or G sound
using a factor VQ35DE non-revup ECU
or piggy back or stand alone if necessary.

inputs?
links if have seen it done plz.

so no one's ever seen a VQ40DE in a Z or G yet?

I would think that motor, with some cams for more hp would be sweet! and a torque monster!

Now I have two threads to follow and hopefully someone will have some viable knowledge. I just can't believe no one has dropped a VQ40 in anything yet!

it seems like it would be a great block for the Z or G! without the major fab work of a V8

www.driftemporium.com actually sells the adapter plate and stuff to bolt that engine to the Z tranny


now I dont know if those guys still have anything to do with Joe Vick, but I know one vick brother (John Vick) works there and they will screw you and run .. they are well known in the MR2 community for doing it .. guess they moved on to g35's and 350z's

I will admit that is a bada$$ car with that motor in it .. guess they finally got something working .. I bought a mk1 mr2 that had a v6 swap back around 2001 but they never could get it working so he sold it to me with the stock supercharged motor and got bent over pretty good with the deal
