Default Gears Grating When Going Into 3rd

Hey everyone this is my first post here. I have a 03 track model 6 sp manual.
It is a daily driven car and only yesterday i was driving and at high RPM when you change from 2nd to 3rd you get a grating noise. This only happens from 2nd to 3rd and at rpm over 5500...

Recently changed clutch , rb , pp and resurfaced flywheel about 3 months ago

what do you guys think ?

You sure your foot was all the way down on the clutch pedal? IF it was, then it sounds like your synchro's might be going bad...or it could be the fact that the 350's all have slight problems with 2nd to 3rd, it's done it to me where you miss 3rd cause the synchro's might not be matching.

2003 tranny issues, there's plenty of info on the forum. If you're out of warranty, try seeing if you can source a 009 transmission somewhere and just swap it out.

I also have an '03 Track model that does the exact same thing. In order for it not to grind, I have to pause a split second before I push the stick up into third. I guess it is to allow the revs to come down. Please let me know if you solve this problem.

+1..i've been doing that method for a while, until I just recently replaced my transmission with a CD009.

I had the SAME EXACT PROBLEM but also with 4th to 5th as well. It was my syncro rev...i just recently visited a transmission shop and bought a used transmission with 43k miles on it. And it was the best investment so far. Smooth shifting all day racing baby lol
