Default Tomei 268 Cams

Does anyone know all the numbers (lift, ect.) for the 268 cams? I received a set and they come with absolutely no paperwork! I jumped the gun and now not sure if this will be the best setup for what I'm doing!!

Check with the shop you bought them from. If they don't know or can't get ahold of Tomei, you might be able to find a race shop that can read the cams for you.

But whatever you find out, post it up! I've been trying to find out the specs for two months now. Oh and if they work with the stock valvesprings.

After talking to SGP they say you can use the stock valve springs with the 268's. They do have heavy duty springs available for $350 (JWT) and titanium retainers for $495. I am planning on using the 268's and springs and retainers are on my list as well.

Tomei specs Mild 256 duration, 10.2 mm lift
Med 264 duration, 10.2 mm lift
Race 268 duration, 10.5 mm lift

Nismo 262 duration , 10.2 mm lift

Mike... have faith. I think you're going to LOVE these cams.

LOTS of top end power, you'll suffer down low, but we'll make up that loss with some of the bottle!

If you don't like em... sell em to me!!!!

I'm still checking on injectors for you!

Angry 268 Cams

Thanks to those that responded!! I did know the lift already , but my engine builder was interested in all those other #'s (which mean nothing to me). Yes , I went ahead & got the retainers and springs-why not since I'm this far into it!!

CHRIS: Yea, I'm with you! Update: Took yours and Doug's advice and stopped thinking lower compression! It would have killed me to have a dog on just motor!! Received today the 11.5:1 Forged pistons & rods and having someone locally make them into 10.5:1!! Cams should work well with this compression!! Switched N20 kits and still think I can run a little more juice but safer!! Went ahead & got the JWT flywheel and when it's a dog in 60 ft.- it's your fault!! Mike

If by FI you mean "Turbo or "S/C" , I realize this setup ( cams & 10.5 pistons) would not be good! Hardest decision I've made in a long time !
