Default Z overheating...

I have an 03 Z with a procharger 12psi setup. The car will overheat. Sometimes it will be at almost H then go down right away to normal temp, but then it climbs back up. I have a koyo 53mm radiator and slim fans I wired in. The fans are turning on right after the temp is in the middle of the gauge. Both fans work I can see and feel them and hear them. The car eventually hits H and bogs and I shut it down. This gets to H real fast say about 7 min of driving even in cold temps like 40 degrees tonight.

Someone said there may be air in my radiator. Im wondering maybe it is a faulty thermostat. When I squeeze the upper and lower radiator hose it is firm so I know there is antifreeze in both hoses. Think my thermostat is sticking? It is an OEM Tstat. Thanks!!

Thermostat. If the temperature is going way up, then suddenly dropping, that's when the thermo is opening. Get a new one.

same thing happened to mine a couple months back. i removed the radiator cap and turned the car on. all the anitfreeze shot out the top, i am assuming there was air in my radiator. it stopped overheating immediately.

Air, I had the same problem when i burned thru my radiator hose a couple months back. I filled it back up and it would be fine for a lil while then the temp would shoot up, and I had no heat. Although I would get a little heat when the temp came back down from the tstat opening.

I would start by bleeding the system, then a new thermo if needed

If you wanna make sure to get all the air out, park on an incline/ have the front side lifted. So all the air bubbles can travel towards the front. Make sure heater is on full blast.

But sounds like a problem with your thermo. Nismo offer one that opens at a lower temp.

Heres my overheating thread, lots of good info. You don't "need" that funnel to burp the system though...
