I am replacing my bank one sensor one O2 sensor i have heard that you have to reflash your ecu after replacing the sensor so that the ecu knows there is a new part and it doesnt prematurly wear out? This doesn"t make sense tho shouldnt the ecu operate properly since the issue is fixed? And isnt the reflash specifically for uppgrades that affect your ecu?

 

Huh? Just replace it, reSET your ecu, and be on your way.

 

I think you mean "reset the ECU."

Very popular years ago but members have learned that the ECU is pretty smart and will easily cope with repairs and mods.
