Default 240sx Final Drive Gear in a 350Z Diff?

Seeing both use the R200 Rear-Diff would it be possible to swap the ring gear and pinion from a 240SX (4.083) into the 350Z (3.538)?

I'm asking because 240 Diffs are like $40, compared to a ring set for the Z which sells for $600.

http://www.g35parts.com/Nissan-4-083...8100-4083x.htm This is where I ordered them from.

I believe these are 240 gears, I had them on my car for a while and they worked perfect. Pulled them for N20.

ring and pinions for the 240SX will not fit 350Z/G35's - ring gears take a different bolt, pinions are much smaller in diameter

do you know if the ring and pinion from the 350z will fit the 240sx? hehehe.. i know that the bolt diameter is 1mm bigger on a q45 r&p and we just drill out the diff to fit. but was wondering if that was true with the z.

the pinions, pinion bearings and pinion flanges (for driveshaft) are totally different and not interchangeable
