Default 4.083 Gears

I have had my 4.083 gears installed for about 5k miles now in my 06 enthusiast w/ VLSD. They are amazing, and I love them, but I am having an issue and I don't know if any of you guys are experiencing this too. Sometimes when under normal to moderate accelerating with traction control ON, it goes into SLIP mode, even if traction is not being broken at the time. If I turn traction control off, there's never an issue. It usually happens around 3k rpms. Is this an easy fix (besides turning traction control off everytime I get into the car), or is it something thats not a big deal. Thanks for the help!

Traction control may read output shaft speed related to flywheel speed. Just a guess.

I don't see how this can be related to your regearing or LSD. You indicated normal acceleration so your tires are not breaking traction.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps the speed sensors on ONE of your axles may have debri or damaged during the install and your ECU thinks one wheel is slipping.

Check to ensure the sensors are mounted tightly and evenly on the diff.........

those sensor are what determine slip.........maybe one was damaged or loose from the install......

there are two of them, one on each side of the diff.....

The two sensors im referring to are located here:

there is one bolt on each one, they are tear drop shaped........just like the milled area circled..

Also check the 'speed gears' on the axle that these sensors read for any debri or silicone that may be on it by the installer when the sealed the diff cover.

Gonna find your problem here. I'd bet on the dirt/contamination thing. If there's something making one sensor skip a tooth or two, it sees that as slower rotation and would think the other side is slipping.
